Shorne Woods Country Park

Shorne Woods Country Park is 292 acres of beautiful woodlands, wetlands, and meadows, literally on our doorstep.

With its eco-friendly visitor centre and restaurant, fishing lakes, trim trail and picnic and play areas, the park has everything you need to spend a day enjoying the best of Kent's countryside.

Ashenbank Wood

Ashenbank Wood in Cobham, a 5 minute walk from the hotel, is a Site of Special Scientific Interest in the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and is teeming with extraordinary wildlife.

You can walk to Ashenbank Wood from the hotel - a 5 minute stroll over the bridge will take you into the heart of the wood.

Jeskyns Community Woodland

Jeskyns Community Woodland is home to 360 acres of newly planted woodlands, meadows, and orchards. The park has a good network of walking trails, play areas for the children, café, and even a dog activity trail.

You can visit a Fairy and Elf Village, introduce the family to the Gruffalo and his friends, say hello to the cows, take the dog for a paddle or just sit and watch the world go by under wide skies full of singing skylarks.

Cobham Wood & Mausoleum

Set within the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Cobham Wood is one of the few ancient wood pastures remaining in the UK. Comprising of open grassland and mature trees, this Special Site of Scientific Interest is grazed by Highland Cattle.

Standing at the highest point of the site is the 18th century Darnley Mausoleum. Designed by architect James Wyatt, the restored Mausoleum was featured in the BBCs Restoration programme in 2003. The Mausoleum is open on the first Sunday of the month from April to September, see opening times for additional Sunday openings where possible.
